WWE Secures Trademark for New Faction ‘Los Americanos’
STAMFORD, Connecticut – WWE has filed a trademark for ‘Los Americanos’, a new masked faction recently unveiled on Monday Night Raw. The trademark was officially filed on September 22, 2025, solidifying the identity of the trio featuring El Grande Americano, portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser, and two masked partners, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate.
The group’s name and logo were introduced during a video segment in this week’s Raw episode, marking a significant development in the ongoing storyline surrounding El Grande Americano. Originally played by Chad Gable, the character shifted following Gable’s shoulder injury, paving the way for Kaiser to adopt the persona. The two smaller masked partners were confirmed this week to be former NXT UK Champions Dunne and Bate, who were seen on WWE television earlier this year as part of the tag team ‘New Catch Republic’.
Los Americanos is currently embroiled in a storyline with AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, with a match scheduled for next week’s episode of Raw. The trademark filing covers various entertainment services, including live wrestling performances, broadcasting, fan clubs, and online content provision.
Dunne, who has recently worked as a backstage producer for AAA, is expected to make a prominent return to WWE’s main roster alongside Bate. This new role for both wrestlers signifies a notable reintroduction to the ring under a dynamic new identity.
As the story continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how Los Americanos will impact WWE’s landscape in the upcoming matches. Their in-ring debut is highly anticipated among fans and marks a revival of interest in the luchador gimmick.
