Yellowjackets Season 4 Announcement

Los Angeles, CA — The hit survival series Yellowjackets has officially been renewed for a fourth season by Paramount+ with Showtime, the network announced on May 20, 2025. This announcement comes just a month after the show’s record-breaking season three finale aired.

Season three wrapped up on April 11, 2025, streaming before airing on Showtime and attracting a massive 3 million viewers globally in its first week. This finale has now been recorded as the most-watched episode in the series’ history.

Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, praised the show’s creators, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, stating, “Yellowjackets has become a cultural juggernaut, with season three shattering all previous records. Ashley and Bart have masterfully crafted an utterly singular experience that captivates audiences worldwide.”

The series, starring Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, and Tawny Cypress, tells the haunting story of a high school girls’ soccer team whose plane crashes in the wilderness, forcing the young women to fight for survival while grappling with the trauma of their experience. The narrative spans across two timelines, showing their lives as teenagers and as adults.

In addition to the main cast, season three featured guest appearances from Hilary Swank and Joel McHale, elevating the show’s appeal. Details regarding production dates for the upcoming season have yet to be announced.
