Zach Bryan Delivers Intimate Super Bowl Eve Performance in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS — Country music star Zach Bryan surprised fans with an intimate performance at Saturn Bar on St. Claude Avenue in the Bywater neighborhood during Super Bowl LIX weekend. The Grammy-winning artist, known for hits like “Something in the Orange” and “Dawns” with Maggie Rogers, took the stage at the popular local haunt late Saturday night, offering a unique experience away from the main Super Bowl events centered in the French Quarter and Central Business District.
Zach Bryan, a Philadelphia Eagles fan, opened his set after comedian and actor Shane Gillis warmed up the packed house. Bryan performed a mix of his popular tracks and even played guitar and harmonica, engaging the crowd in the dimly lit venue. His performance came just months after his July 2024 concert at Caesar's Superdome, where he drew thousands of fans to the city.
Bryan’s music has recently gained traction on TikTok, with several of his songs going viral. The artist’s connection to New Orleans extends beyond his performances, as he previously dated Barstool Sports podcaster and personality Chickenfry during his earlier visit to the city. Both Bryan and Chickenfry, along with Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy, were in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
Fans and attendees described the show as a rare and memorable opportunity to see Bryan in such an intimate setting, contrasting sharply with his larger stadium performances. The impromptu concert highlighted Bryan’s ability to connect with audiences in both massive venues and smaller, more personal spaces.
Bryan’s performance at Saturn Bar added to the vibrant cultural scene of New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend, offering a unique blend of country music and local charm.
