Zerodha Faces Temporary Glitch On Kite Platform, Users Express Frustration

Indian brokerage firm Zerodha experienced temporary disruptions on its widely used Kite platform, causing inconvenience to traders. The intermittently glitchy platform impacted order placement and hindered access to account details. Zerodha acknowledged the issue and assured users that the connectivity problem was resolved.

Following the glitch, social media was flooded with hashtag ‘Zerodha,’ triggering a cascade of responses from dissatisfied users. Memes and humorous comments surfaced on platforms like X, exemplifying the frustration faced by traders.

One user humorously posted a snippet from a movie featuring Rajinikanth, jesting that Zerodha now holds the top position in the ‘Glitch Association of India.’ Meanwhile, another user adapted a famous line from the web series Mirzapur, jokingly questioning the connectivity of Zerodha. The disordered cluster of computer cables and a user’s comment on ‘technical issues’ further expressed the inconvenience faced by traders.

Zerodha’s recent glitch is not the first for the trading application. Previous incidents also revolved around issues related to order visibility and execution. These recurring problems have led to frustration among users.

It is worth noting that another trading platform, Groww, also encountered similar glitches recently, resulting in user frustration and losses. However, Groww promptly addressed the issues and engaged with users until resolved. As per data from the NSE, Groww currently surpasses Zerodha in active traders and investors.

Traders are now urging Zerodha to address its infrastructure concerns and work on fixing the recurring glitches.
