Toyin Abraham Vows To Keep Political Affiliations Private Following Social Media Exchange

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has made a decision to maintain her political affiliations private in the future, following a recent social media exchange that garnered attention. The exchange, which took place on X, saw Abraham shedding light on promises made to her by President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general election campaign.

The conversation began with an X user identified as Otunba (@ManLikeIcey) expressing curiosity about the plans Tinubu shared with Abraham. In response, Abraham revealed that she had been assured of ‘good governance and happiness for everyone’ by Tinubu’s camp.

However, Abraham quickly added a cautionary note, expressing hesitation about facing public scrutiny if the promised good governance did not come to fruition. She also reflected on past experiences, stating she had learned her lesson about openly sharing political choices.

Otunba probed further, questioning whether Abraham believed Tinubu had failed in governance. Abraham’s response emphasized her focus on her life and career, stating firmly that she was not a politician and had no involvement in the government.

Recalling her previous encounter with Tinubu during the presidential campaign, Abraham shared pictures of their meeting alongside the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. She expressed hope and confidence in Tinubu’s leadership abilities, referring to him as the ‘incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.’
