Baltimore Weather Forecast Rain Storms

BALTIMORE, Maryland (WBFF) — Maryland’s unsettled weather pattern continues as the new work week begins. Monday’s forecast includes a marginal risk for severe weather, with the National Weather Service warning of damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain.

The stormy conditions are expected to begin in the afternoon, primarily after 1 p.m., with Meteorologist Ava Marie noting that isolated showers are likely in the morning. Overall, the day should be mostly cloudy and humid.

Maryland’s weather will continue to be unsettled as rain chances persist into Tuesday. High temperatures are projected to reach the mid to upper 70s. Showers and thunderstorms are probable in the afternoon and evening as another system approaches.

Wednesday should bring a brief respite from the rain, yet another weather system is predicted to arrive on Thursday, potentially extending into Friday, bringing with it cooler temperatures.

The weekend is looking drier with highs near 70 degrees on Saturday and approaching 80 degrees for Mother’s Day on Sunday. However, the Maryland region remains significantly below normal for annual rainfall, with a deficit of over four inches so far this year.

Ongoing storms could provide some relief, with the forecast suggesting total rainfall amounts could reach between 1 to 3 inches from the weekend through midweek. Meteorologists emphasize the necessity of rain amid the drought conditions.

As the week goes on, high temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s, with cloudy weather likely.
