New Hampshire Thunderstorms Weather Forecast

CONCORD, N.H. — A warm and humid start to the weekend will lead to a likelihood of severe thunderstorms across much of New Hampshire on Saturday, meteorologists warn.

Cloudy skies will dominate the early hours, with temperatures expected to be mild and muggy. Pop-up showers and thunderstorms may develop between late morning and midday.

As the afternoon approaches, increasing sunshine will raise temperatures into the 70s, although parts of the Lakes Region and Mt. Washington Valley may remain cooler due to lingering clouds. A new batch of scattered thunderstorms is predicted between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., some of which may reach severe levels, accompanied by heavy rainfall, hail, and strong winds.

“Be storm aware on Saturday,” advisories emphasize. Residents are urged to make shelter plans in case threatening storms approach.

The storm activity is expected to decline as a cold front passes late Saturday night, resulting in a drop in humidity.

Sunday will start off sunny but gradually turn cloudy in the afternoon, with scattered showers likely. High temperatures will forecast in the 60s.

A cooler weather pattern will persist into the work week ahead, with daytime temperatures remaining in the 50s to lower 60s. Showers may occur on Monday and Tuesday, with more significant rainfall expected from late Wednesday into Thursday.
