Brad Pitt Movie Thelma And Louise

LOS ANGELES, CA — Brad Pitt, the 61-year-old Oscar-winning actor, recently shared his experiences of feeling starstruck while working with co-stars Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon. In the July 2 episode of the podcast, Pitt reflected on his feelings during the filming of the iconic 1991 film ‘Thelma & Louise.’

“When I first met Geena and Susan, I was. Yeah,” he said, adding that he quickly overcame his initial awe. The film was Pitt’s breakout role where he portrayed J.D., a charming drifter who becomes involved with Davis’ character, Thelma.

Pitt remembered filming a love scene with Davis, saying, “She was so sweet and kind and delicate. That love scene took two days to shoot. She took care of me.” Davis, who played Thelma, has also spoken about being impressed by Pitt’s talent early on. In a 2020 interview for the movie’s 30th anniversary, she remarked, “He just has ‘it.’ I could tell when he was auditioning that he was super talented.”

Sarandon praised Pitt’s performance, noting, “He fleshed that part out in a way that wasn’t necessarily in the script. I thought, ‘Ah, this guy’s interesting.’” Both Davis and Sarandon have credited ‘Thelma & Louise’ for transforming their careers, with Davis stating the movie “changed my life.”

This acclaimed film, often seen as a feminist classic, highlighted women’s empowerment as both characters took control of their lives amid adversity. Davis expressed her gratitude for the film’s impact, saying it sparked conversations that altered how people viewed her work. “After that movie came out, it was completely different,” she said.
