Colorado Buffaloes Face Wyoming in Final Nonconference Game
BOULDER, Colo. — The Colorado Buffaloes will host the Wyoming Cowboys in their final nonconference game of the 2025 football season on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. MDT at Folsom Field.
Currently, the Buffaloes hold a record of 1-2. They have experienced challenges, especially with their starting quarterback position, which has seen three players take the field: senior Kaidon Salter, freshman Julian Lewis, and sophomore Ryan Staub. Coach Deion Sanders hopes to find a stable leader, with reports indicating that Salter will return as the starting quarterback due to his dual-threat capability.
On the other hand, the Wyoming Cowboys arrive with a record of 2-1, having lost to No. 20 Utah in their last outing. The Cowboys are also looking to secure a win before they begin Mountain West play. The Buffaloes, rated more highly in terms of talent, are expected to dominate based on the matchup.
The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN, with Dave Flemming, Brock Osweiler, and Stormy Buonantony providing commentary. For fans unable to attend, streaming is available through the ESPN app and other platforms offering free trials for new subscribers.
Colorado has a strong historical advantage over Wyoming, leading the all-time series 24-2-1. The teams last met in 2009, where Colorado emerged victorious with a 24-0 score. Tickets for the game are sold out but can be found on the resale market.
The Buffaloes will also resume a cherished tradition as Ralphie VII, the live buffalo mascot, makes her debut before the game starts.
