San Diego Kids Free Program October 2025

SAN DIEGO, California — For the entire month of October, children ages 12 and under can enjoy free entry to over 60 attractions throughout San Diego County, according to the San Diego Museum Council. This annual initiative runs from October 1 to 31.

The program, supported by First 5 San Diego, aims to enhance access to valuable museum experiences. Families can get two free children’s passes for every adult ticket purchased at most attractions. Some locations offer family-wide free entry.

Last year, approximately 85,000 kids and adults participated in the event. “It’s a full month of family fun that doesn’t break the bank,” said Bob Lehman, Executive Director of the San Diego Museum Council. “There is always something new to discover, whether you are a local or visiting San Diego.”

Kids Free includes a variety of attractions that cater to various interests, such as art, history, and nature. “Kids Free is the perfect time for families to enjoy time together, learning, playing and creating new memories,” said Alethea Arguilez, Executive Director of First 5 San Diego. Access to these experiences is key for children’s early development, she added.

Major attractions like the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld participate in the program. The Zoo offers free admission to children under 12 with a paying adult, while SeaWorld allows kids aged 3 to 9 in for free when accompanied by a paid adult admission.

Families can download a coupon for the Kids Free program from the Museum Council’s website before visiting each attraction. Visitors are advised to check specific websites for any restrictions.

This promotion is a great way for families to save money and enjoy San Diego’s cultural richness during the month of October.
