Phillies Dodgers Nlds Game 1 2025

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Phillies will host the Los Angeles Dodgers for Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Saturday at 6:38 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Park. The game will be broadcast on TBS, truTV, and HBO Max.

Starting for the Dodgers is Shohei Ohtani, who is making his playoff debut, while the Phillies plan to send Cristopher Sánchez to the mound. Both pitchers have shown impressive performances this season, contributing significantly to their teams’ playoff appearances.

The Phillies finished the regular season with a record of 96-66, securing a strong home record of 55-26. Meanwhile, the Dodgers, with a 93-69 record, aim to capitalize on their recent success after defeating the Reds to advance to this round.

“We’re excited to start the playoffs at home,” said Phillies manager Rob Thomson. “The atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park is electric, and we want to make it count.”

In their five previous meetings this season, the Phillies prevailed four times against the Dodgers, making them more than confident heading into the series. The Dodgers also boast a storied history in the playoffs, appearing in every NLDS since 2013.

As both teams prepare to face off, players from both sides are anxious. Ohtani commented, “It’s a big moment for me, and I’m ready to help the team win.”

Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday, also at Citizens Bank Park, where the stakes will continue to rise as teams vie for a place in the National League Championship Series.
