NEW YORK, NY — NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. has launched a new project called FRI&NDS, aimed at spotlighting emerging artists by bringing together celebrities and unique celebrations. The initiative, which kicked off earlier this year in New Orleans during Super Bowl festivities, has hosted events featuring well-known names like Chance the Rapper and Shaboozey, as well as local artists and high-school marching bands.

Following its New Orleans debut, FRI&NDS continued its journey at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix and further expanded with an event in São Paulo, Brazil. Beckham, known for his impressive football career, shared insights about his project during New York Fashion Week at The Highlight Room, emphasizing his dedication to uplifting others.

“It’s not just about throwing parties,” Beckham explained. “We want to create memorable experiences that promote rising talents. The idea is evolving, and we have some exciting events and collaborations on the horizon.”

During the event, Beckham also spoke about his passion for wine and food. “For a cocktail, I love a spicy margarita, but at home, I’m all about good reds,” he stated, recalling an exceptional bottle of Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone Reserva 2007. “Wine is perfect for intimate dinners, but when I go out, I tend to stick to cocktails.”

The athlete’s enthusiasm for fashion was on display at the event, as he expressed admiration for the artistry of clothing. “To me, clothes are artifacts; they represent history,” he said. “I appreciate every detail and find it hard to part with my collection.”

Beckham also highlighted his appreciation for famous personalities, particularly Jamie Foxx. “He’s taught me so much, and he’s been a huge inspiration in my life,” he remarked, reminiscing about their shared dinners and life lessons. “People like him change your perspective forever.”
