WOODFIN, N.C. (WLOS) — National Night Out, an event promoting police-community partnerships, will take place on Tuesday evening in three western North Carolina communities.

The event aims to strengthen relationships between local law enforcement and residents. The Woodfin Police Department invites the community to enjoy food trucks, crafting booths, a bounce house, and more. This year, they are also hosting the second annual first responder rib-eating contest, sponsored by Bears Smokehouse.

In Black Mountain, families can join the local police department for an evening filled with food trucks, a bounce house, a dunking booth, live music, and games. This mix of fun activities will encourage community bonding.

Canton Police Department will also host a gathering featuring barbecue, bounce houses, and additional entertainment options. Each community is committed to celebrating safety and connectivity among residents and police.

This year’s National Night Out promises to be an exciting evening filled with activities. Local police departments encourage residents to come out, enjoy the festivities, and further strengthen community ties.
