Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to Estimated $547 Million

Atlanta, GA — The Mega Millions jackpot has reached an estimated $547 million after no tickets matched all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing.

If someone wins the upcoming drawing on Tuesday night, it would mark the 12th largest prize in the game’s history. The cash option for the jackpot is currently set at $251.7 million.

The winning numbers drawn on Friday were 18, 19, 38, 54, 57, and the gold Mega Ball 19. Even without a jackpot winner, 10 tickets matched four white balls and the Mega Ball to win a third-tier prize.

Of those, seven tickets collected $20,000, while three others won $30,000 thanks to multiplier options. The current jackpot run began after the last winning ticket was reported on June 27 in Virginia.

Lottery tickets are priced at $5 each and are available in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings occur at 11 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 23, with the odds of hitting the jackpot standing at 1 in 290,472,336.
