Alex Rodriguez Derek Jeter Yankees Playoffs

NEW YORK, NY — Alex Rodriguez is busy with MLB postseason coverage for Fox, working alongside fellow analysts Derek Jeter and David Ortiz. Despite his professional commitments, Rodriguez found time to be seen with his partner, Jaclyn Cordeiro, on Tuesday evening as they enjoyed a sunset stroll.

Cordeiro, a social media influencer, was spotted wearing jeans and a green t-shirt, while Rodriguez donned an all-black outfit of a sweater and jeans. The couple has been dating since October 2022, with their relationship becoming public in December of that year. Prior to Cordeiro, Rodriguez briefly dated health coach Kathryne Padgett and had a long-term relationship with singer Jennifer Lopez from 2017 to 2021.

During a light-hearted moment on Sunday’s postgame coverage of the American League Division Series, Rodriguez and Jeter were analyzing the Yankees’ 13-7 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Ortiz humorously suggested that the only way for the Yankees to recover was for the retired legends, including Rodriguez, Jeter, Andy Pettitte, and Mariano Rivera, to come out of retirement. He even jokingly mentioned other baseball icons like Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio.

Rodriguez and Jeter could not hold back their laughter as Ortiz continued the joke, saying, “the only chance that the Yankees has is if you guys come back and play.” The festive banter lightened the atmosphere following a tough series for the Yankees, who struggled defensively.

Ortiz escalated the humor further by claiming that even if Jesus Christ returned, the Yankees would end up vacationing in Cancun instead of contending for the World Series, implying their playoff hopes were slim. He also commented on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s performance in the series, stating, “he would be the MVP of the American League.”

The Fox production team joined in on the fun, helping Ortiz create a fictional “Comeback Crew” lineup featuring baseball legends alongside current players like Rodriguez and Jeter.

Fortunately for Rodriguez and Jeter, the Yankees managed to secure a win against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, winning 9-6 at Yankee Stadium, extending the series at least one more game.
