LOS ANGELES, CA — Netflix has announced the premiere date for “Selena y Los Dinos: A Family’s Legacy,” a documentary celebrating the life of the iconic Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla. The film will start streaming on November 17.

Directed by Isabel Castro, the documentary offers an intimate look at Selena’s journey from performing at quinceañeras to selling out stadium tours. It features never-before-seen footage from the Quintanilla family’s personal archives, showcasing her rise to global superstardom.

Selena’s family members, including her siblings, Suzette and A.B. Quintanilla, served as executive producers for the film. The documentary highlights Selena’s early years, featuring rare home videos and interviews with family members, including her parents, Abraham and Marcella Quintanilla, and husband Chris Pérez. The film paints a portrait of Selena as not just a pop icon, but as a daughter, sister, and wife.
