Phoenix Arizona Weather Forecast

PHOENIX, Arizona — This weekend, high pressure has brought unseasonably warm temperatures to the Desert Southwest, but a weather system from southern California is expected to change that. The system will introduce more clouds, breezes, and possibly light showers in the mountains later today.

Despite the weak disturbance, rain chances remain low. Temperatures are expected to peak in the 90s today and tomorrow, dropping to the mid-80s for Thursday through the weekend. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s to upper 50s as the weather cools down.

The next week looks mostly dry for the area, with forecasts indicating a chance of precipitation in southern Arizona by early November. This aligns with the developing La Niña pattern, which typically brings more moisture to the southern regions of the state.

As the week progresses, the Valley will experience comfortable fall weather, with overnight lows around the upper 50s to lower 60s set to continue. Afternoon highs are projected to be near 90 on Tuesday, followed by a slight chance of sprinkles in the higher terrain areas.

By Thursday, a more significant cooling trend is expected as another low-pressure system approaches, bringing highs in the low 80s. For northern Arizona, isolated showers could occur on Wednesday, with some high elevations possibly seeing a few snowflakes.

Overall, the forecast indicates that as the warm weather begins to fade, a refreshing taste of fall will move into the Valley by the weekend.
