No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers Host UCLA Bruins in Big Ten Showdown
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers will host the UCLA Bruins Saturday at noon ET in a crucial Big Ten matchup.
Indiana comes into the game with an impressive 7-0 record after a dominant performance last week. The Hoosiers have been winning by an average of 32.3 points per game, powered by their standout quarterback, who is drawing attention for the Heisman Trophy.
On the other side, UCLA has turned its season around after an 0-4 start. The Bruins, now 3-4, fired former head coach DeShaun Foster and promoted Tim Skipper to interim coach. Under Skipper, the team has pulled off three consecutive wins, including an upset over No. 7 Penn State.
“We’re playing a 3-0 football team that’s undefeated,” Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said, referring to UCLA’s recent form.
UCLA’s quarterback, Nico Iamaleava, has emerged as a key player, not only in passing but also leading the team in rushing with 360 yards. His progression under Skipper has sparked hopes of an upset.
Despite their recent successes, the Bruins face a tough test against the Hoosiers, who are 25.5 point favorites in the matchup. Indiana’s stellar play so far has made them clear favorites.
Memorial Stadium is set to be filled with fans eager to see if Indiana can continue its undefeated streak, while UCLA aims for another shocking victory.
