Lamar Jackson Ravens Bears Game

Baltimore, MD – Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to practice this week and hopes to play on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. He missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury. If Jackson plays, he will face a Bears secondary that is struggling with injuries.

The Bears have been without their top cornerback, Jaylon Johnson, who had core muscle surgery last month. Cornerback Terrell Smith is also on injured reserve, while Zah Frazier is listed on the non-football injury list. On Friday, the Bears ruled out two more starters: nickel back Kyler Gordon and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson. With five players absent, the Bears have one of the most depleted secondaries in the league.

If Jackson is fully healthy on Sunday, he could take advantage of this weakened defense. Despite the Ravens’ challenging season, with a record of 1-5, Jackson had been performing well before his injury. He recorded a career-high completion rate of 71.6 percent and averaged 9.1 yards per attempt, along with 10 touchdowns and only one interception.

Jackson returning at full strength could be just what the Ravens need to ignite a comeback in their season. Meanwhile, Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey echoed the urgency for a win. “If we could beat the Chicago Bears this Sunday, I just wanna win one game,” he said. “That’s gonna be the only way going forward to win one game.”

As they approach this critical match-up, the Ravens look to turn around their season with a victory over the Bears.
