Golden State Warriors Vs Memphis Grizzlies Game

SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 131-118 on Monday night, showcasing their dominance at Chase Center.

Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors with 25 points and 10 rebounds, supported by Brandin Podziemski who scored 23 points and dished out six assists. The Warriors pulled ahead in the third quarter, creating a gap that Memphis could not close.

Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green contributed 20 points each, while Green also had four assists before fouling out late in the game. He received a flagrant foul for a hard grab after an attempted steal from Memphis forward Santi Aldama.

Aldama finished with 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 23 points and nine assists, though he struggled from beyond the arc, missing all six of his three-point attempts.

Golden State’s defense was a key factor as they managed to limit Memphis’ effectiveness, allowing only 28 percent shooting from three-point range. Coach Steve Kerr noted the importance of taking care of the ball, although the Warriors struggled with 10 turnovers in the first half that led to 12 points for Memphis.

The Warriors surged in the third quarter, scoring 36 points and extending their lead to 88-75 after consecutive three-pointers from Moody and Curry, marking a shift in momentum.

“We found our rhythm in the second half,” Kuminga said after the game. “We played tough on both ends of the floor.”

The Grizzlies have now lost seven consecutive games at the Chase Center since their last win on Oct. 28, 2021. Next, Memphis will visit the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, while the Warriors prepare to host the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
