Steven Jones Poker Double Homicide Wisconsin

Milwaukee, Wisconsin — A double homicide during a poker game has led to serious accusations against 35-year-old Donovan Jones. He is under suspicion after calling 911 to report the shooting, claiming he accidentally shot the victims.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of October 18. Police arrived at a home in Milwaukee to discover the bodies of Dwayne Carter, 33, found in the basement, and Shaquill Madison, 43, located outside the house.

Jones, a former World Series of Poker Circuit competitor, told authorities that a person wearing a black ski mask entered the home. He stated that he ran downstairs and hid under the stairs while Carter hid in another area. He claimed he opened fire when he heard footsteps and could not see who he was shooting at.

The case has turned mysterious, as witnesses confirm seeing the masked individual, yet all shots that killed the victims came from Jones’s firearm. Both victims were also found armed, and cash was present at the scene.

Jones faces two counts of negligent homicide. Court records show he posted a $35,000 bond on October 27 and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Milwaukee County on Friday.
