Before the race begins, Glenwood Avenue will close from Peace Street to Hillsborough Street at 3 a.m. and is scheduled to reopen at 1 p.m.
Most road closures are expected to last until 9:45 a.m. The marathon course, which spans 26.2 miles, will take participants through several key areas, including downtown Raleigh, Glenwood South, NC State University, Boylan Heights, and Crabtree Valley.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays, as the marathon is expected to draw many runners and spectators to the city.
