Mega Millions Drawing Numbers New York

NEW YORK (WABC) — The Mega Millions jackpot has soared to $714 million following the latest drawing on Tuesday night. The winning numbers drawn were 53, 2, 61, 19, 33, and the Mega Ball was 14.

This marks only the ninth time in Mega Millions history that the jackpot has exceeded $700 million. The last time a jackpot was won was on June 27, when a ticket in Virginia took home $348 million.

The record for the highest Mega Millions prize was achieved on December 27, 2022, when the jackpot reached $1.269 billion. Mega Millions is played across 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Each Mega Millions ticket costs $5 and includes a randomly assigned multiplier that can increase the prize amount. The odds of winning any prize in Mega Millions are 1 in 23, while the odds of hitting the jackpot stand at 1 in 290,472,336.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit state education programs, with $3.7 billion distributed for educational support in the 2022-2023 fiscal year in New York alone.

For those interested, the next Mega Millions drawing is set for Friday night, with the jackpot continuing to grow.
