Four People Shot in Lakeview on Early Sunday Morning
LAKEVIEW, Chicago — Four people were shot early Sunday morning in the Lakeview neighborhood, according to local police. The shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Clark Street, just south of Wrigley Field.
Police say the victims were outside when a suspect exited a white pickup truck and began firing at them. A 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were both shot in the arm, while a 29-year-old woman was shot in the leg. All three were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where they are reported to be in fair condition.
A fourth victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot in the shoulder and transported to Thorek Memorial Hospital. He is also listed in fair condition.
The shooting took place near Al’s Beef at 3420 N. Clark St., where police placed evidence markers for shell casings. The unidentified gunman fled the scene heading northbound in the white pickup truck.
As of Sunday morning, no arrests had been made, and Belmont Area detectives are investigating the incident. Police have not confirmed if the time of the shooting was recorded during Daylight Saving Time or Central Standard Time, which could affect the precise timing.
