Simeone Includes Nico González in Squad for Saturday’s Match
Madrid, Spain – Argentine winger Nico González has been named in the 24-player squad by Atlético de Madrid manager Diego Simeone for their match against Levante this Saturday. This announcement comes as González returns from an injury that kept him out of the previous match against Union Saint-Gilloise.
González suffered a knock last week in a game against Sevilla and was uncertain for the upcoming match at the Metropolitano Stadium. Juan Musso is also back in the squad after missing two matches due to pharyngitis. The only absentee is Robin Le Normand, who is sidelined with a serious injury to the posterior capsule of his left knee.
The squad includes goalkeepers Jan Oblak, Juan Musso, and Salvador Esquivel; defenders Nahuel Molina, Marc Pubill, Marcos Llorente, David Hancko, Clement Lenglet, José María Giménez, Matteo Ruggeri, and Javi Galán; midfielders Johnny Cardoso, Thiago Almada, Álex Baena, Conor Gallagher, Pablo Barrios, and Koke Resurrección; wingers Giuliano Simeone, Carlos Martín, and Nico González; and forwards Alexander Sorloth, Julián Alvarez, Antoine Griezmann, and Giacomo Raspadori.
The match against Levante is set to kick off on Saturday, promising an exciting showdown for Atlético fans.
