SeaWorld Orlando Announces SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep for 2026
Orlando, Florida – SeaWorld Orlando revealed new details about its upcoming attraction, SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep, set to open in 2026. The announcement was made during the IAAPA Expo on November 18, where the park unveiled the ride vehicle designed by Vekoma.
Conner Carr, SeaWorld Orlando’s vice president of rides and engineering, described the attraction as a groundbreaking family experience. “SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep redefines what a family attraction can be,” Carr said. He added that the ride will combine advanced technology with the wonder of the ocean.
The Suspended Dark Ride will include swing and rotating ride vehicles, along with onboard audio. Guests will embark on an underwater expedition, discovering glowing worlds, exploring sunken shipwrecks, and encountering amazing sea creatures. In its press release, SeaWorld promised an adventure that captures the thrill of the unknown.
While excitement surrounds the new attraction, some park visitors expressed cautious optimism. Comments on social media reflected a mix of anticipation and concern about the new ride’s design and technology. One visitor noted a history of mixed results with SeaWorld’s dark rides, urging the park to ensure that animal habitats are included.
As for its location, current information suggests that SEAQuest will be built near Expedition Odyssey, across from the Ice Breaker ride. Reports indicate that construction has cleared approximately 200,000 square feet for the new project.
This new attraction will join a series of investments at SeaWorld Orlando, as the park competes with nearby destinations like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. As preparations continue, many enthusiasts are eager to see how SEAQuest will shape the future of theme park experiences.
