Aaron Judge Shatters AL Records in Start of 2025 Season

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Aaron Judge is turning heads once again in Major League Baseball, particularly with his performance this April. The New York Yankees slugger has begun the 2025 season in historic fashion, achieving milestones no other American League player had accomplished before May.
Before this year, no AL player had recorded 50 hits within the first month, reached base 70 times, or accumulated 85 total bases. Judge did all three, effectively rewriting the record books and turning what could be seen as a hot start into a scorching phenomenon.
This year appears to present a challenge to Judge: “Let’s see what happens if I don’t make outs,” and thus far, he has not. Every plate appearance feels like an event, showcasing his impeccable discipline, contact skills, and incredible power. Judge isn’t just hitting baseballs; he’s launching them.
His previous seasons set a high bar. In 2022, he batted .311 with 62 home runs, a campaign so extraordinary it seemed unreal. Last year, he improved to a .322 average with a wRC+ of 218, establishing a record for the best offensive season by a right-handed hitter. Now in 2025, he’s taking things even further with a .427 batting average and an exceptional wRC+ of 262.
Judging by these numbers, it feels like Judge is playing an entirely different game, one in which hitting .400 is just another goal to check off his spring list. His consistency and power make him a dominant force, unlike most sluggers who typically experience fluctuations in performance due to injuries or form.
Currently, Judge stands out not just as the best right-handed hitter of the moment but possibly as the best ever. As he continues to push the limits of the sport, it’s impossible not to appreciate the magnitude of his achievements. Aaron Judge isn’t just a key player for the Yankees; he is reshaping the landscape of baseball itself.
