Haryana Assembly Election Results 2024

The Haryana Assembly Elections for 2024, held on October 5, have set the stage for the announcement of results, which are scheduled for tomorrow, October 8, 2024. The vote counting is slated to begin at 8:00 AM, with initial results expected to emerge by midday. These elections coincide with the results announcements for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

To access the Haryana Assembly election results, voters have several options through digital platforms provided by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

1. ECI Official Website: Voters can visit the official Election Commission of India website. It will provide updates, including real-time data from returning officers across all the assembly constituencies in Haryana.

2. Voter Helpline App: This application is available for both Android and iOS users. It allows users to track the leading, trailing, and winning candidates. The app also offers features to view results constituency-wise or at the state level, making it a handy tool for election enthusiasts and voters alike.

The elections come after a tumultuous political period in Haryana. The previous state election in 2019 resulted in a hung assembly. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 40 of the 90 seats, while the Congress won 31. Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) managed to capture 10 seats, positioning Chautala as a key player in the formation of a coalition government.

However, the BJP-JJP alliance eventually collapsed in March 2024, leading to the resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Subsequently, Nayab Singh Saini was appointed as the chief minister. His minority administration encountered further instability when three independent Members of the Legislative Assembly withdrew their support in May 2024.
