Actor Johnny Wactor Fatally Shot in Catalytic Converter Theft Attempt
Actor Johnny Wactor, best known for his role as Brando Corbin in the ABC soap opera, was tragically shot and killed during a suspected catalytic converter theft attempt in downtown Los Angeles.
Wactor, who portrayed the character Brando, son of Gladys Corbin in the series, was shot by one of three suspects trying to extract the catalytic converter from his vehicle near Pico Boulevard and Hope Street.
His talent agent, David Shaul, expressed deep sorrow over Wactor’s death, highlighting his exceptional talent and positive character.
Wactor began his on-screen career with guest roles in shows like ‘Army Wives‘ and ‘Westworld‘ before landing the role of Brando in the soap opera.
His acting credits also include appearances in ‘The OA,’ ‘Station 19,’ ‘Siberia,’ ‘Agent X,’ and ‘Animal Kingdom.’
Wactor’s feature film work includes ‘USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage,’ directed by Mario Van Peebles and starring Nicolas Cage.
He leaves behind his mother Scarlett and brothers Lance and Grant.
