Actor Kenneth Mitchell Passes Away After Brave Battle with ALS
Canadian actor Kenneth Mitchell, known for his roles in Captain Marvel, Star Trek, and Jericho, has tragically passed away at the age of 49 after a courageous battle with ALS.
Mitchell’s family confirmed the news on Instagram, describing him as an ‘inspirational work of art’ who touched many hearts during his acting career.
Born in Toronto, Mitchell was married to actress Susan May Pratt, with whom he shared two children.
In a 2020 interview with People magazine, Mitchell revealed his diagnosis of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, sharing his challenges with the progressive neurodegenerative condition.
During his career, Mitchell portrayed Joseph Danvers in Captain Marvel alongside leading star Brie Larson, as well as various Klingon characters in Star Trek: Discovery, making significant contributions to the sci-fi genre.
