Actor Owen Wilson Enjoys Family Day at LAFC Game
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Owen Wilson brought his two sons and daughter to a soccer game at BMO Stadium on Thursday, October 29. The 56-year-old actor was seen wearing a white cowboy hat and an LAFC jersey, cheering on his team, Los Angeles Football Club, as they faced off against Austin FC.
Wilson’s son Finn, 11, joined him on the sidelines, also dressed in an LAFC jersey and sporting a big smile. His older brother Ford, 14, matched their outfit as they supported their dad’s favorite team.
The actor shares his sons with different partners; he has Ford with Jade Duell, Finn with Caroline Lindqvist, and daughter Lyla, 7, with Varunie Vongsvirates. This outing wasn’t their first family day at the LAFC game. Wilson attended a match with his sons in April 2024 against the New York Red Bulls.
At that game, the trio enjoyed sitting in the celebrity suite, where they cheered and held up a jersey with forward Denis Bouanga’s name and number, 99, printed on it. Wilson doesn’t frequently discuss his family life but offered some insights earlier this year about his show, “Stick,” where he mentioned trying to introduce his kids to golf.
He expressed the challenges of engaging them in golf, saying, “It’s hard sometimes with kids because, as a kid, you want to play soccer or football. Golf does not come easily.” However, he finds joy in taking them to places like Topgolf to help them learn the swing.
Wilson praised both of his sons for their progress in golf. “Ford really does have a good swing. Finn’s grandfather was apparently the town champion in Sweden, so he’s got it in him,” Wilson said, adding hopes of one day playing golf together as a family.
In a light-hearted moment during a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Wilson revealed that his youngest son Finn once dreamed of opening a prank shop called “Wilson’s Wizzbangs.”
