Adam Copeland John Cena Wrestling Tribute

Toronto, Canada – Wrestling fans witnessed a rare moment of respect between promotions on Saturday as Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE, honored John Cena during his match at AEW All Out.

Before Cena’s match against Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza, Copeland paid tribute by executing several of Cena’s signature moves in a tag team match with Christian Cage against FTR. This included the iconic ‘You Can’t See Me’ taunt, the Five Knuckle Shuffle, and an Attitude Adjustment on Cash Wheeler.

The crowd erupted in chants of Cena’s name as Copeland showcased his respect for the WWE star, who is currently on his farewell tour that ends in December. Copeland’s tribute was a nod to Cena’s recent gesture on WWE SmackDown, where Cena incorporated Copeland’s spear into his own match.

“It was super fun,” Copeland said about the mutual respect they share. “John and I met at the right time. You had two guys who were willing to do what we had to do to get us both over.”

Copeland and Christian secured a victory over FTR, but their celebration was cut short when they were ambushed from behind. This moment added to the excitement of the match, showcasing the unpredictable nature of professional wrestling.

In contrast, Cena’s match at Wrestlepalooza ended in disappointment. The crowd witnessed Cena undergo a humiliating loss at the hands of Lesnar, leaving many young fans visibly upset. WWE had set up a large event to counter AEW as the rivalry between the two promotions continues to heat up.

As Cena’s retirement tour approaches its conclusion, fans await updates on his final appearances, hoping for a memorable finale to his storied career.
