Alabama Power Names Stacey Turner as Vice President of Environmental Affairs

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 29, 2025 — The Alabama Power Board of Directors has elected Stacey Turner as the new vice president of the company’s Environmental Affairs organization, effective immediately. In this role, Turner will oversee environmental compliance, strategy, and stewardship programs.
Turner brings significant experience to her new position. She previously served as the associate general counsel for Environmental Policy and Litigation at Southern Company Services Inc. (SCS). “I am excited to lead Alabama Power’s efforts in enhancing our environmental initiatives,” Turner said in a statement.
Before her time at SCS, Turner managed a team of lawyers at Georgia Power, where she acted as the lead environmental attorney. She supported external affairs while leading important legal undertakings. Turner began her career at the Morris, Manning & Martin law firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
Academically, Turner is well qualified for the role. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida.
