FORT MYERS, Fla. — A 2-year-old girl, Camilla Guzman, was abducted in Fort Myers on Monday, prompting an AMBER Alert and a multi-agency search involving the Cape Coral Police Department (CCPD) and the Lee County Sheriff's Office. The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Luis Valentin, was last seen in Cape Coral near the Cultural Park Theater.

According to authorities, Guzman was taken from DeLeon Street in Fort Myers. Valentin, described as the child’s mother’s ex-boyfriend, was spotted walking in the 500 block of SE 5th Avenue in Cape Coral. He was reportedly wearing gray shorts, a white or black T-shirt, and possibly slides. Valentin has a brown fade haircut, a brown goatee, a lion tattoo on one side of his throat, and the word “Princess” tattooed on the other.

Camilla was last seen wearing black pants, a long-sleeved black shirt, and no shoes. She has shoulder-length curly brown hair.

Police established a command post near the Cultural Park Theater and conducted an extensive search of the area. Officers from both the Cape Coral Police Department and Fort Myers Police Department were involved in the operation. As of Monday afternoon, the command post had been cleared, but the search for the child and suspect continued.

Authorities urged anyone with information to call 911 or the Fort Myers Police Department at 239-321-7700. The public was advised to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the pair immediately.

The Cultural Park Theater area, where Valentin was last seen, became the focal point of the search. Police described the situation as urgent, emphasizing the need for community assistance to locate the missing child.
