América de Cali Advances to Semifinals After Penalty Shootout Victory

Barranquilla, Colombia – América de Cali secured a spot in the semifinals of the 2025 championship after defeating Atlético Junior in a tense penalty shootout following a 1-0 regulation time victory on October 14.
The quarterfinal match took place at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, where Atlético Junior initially held a 2-1 lead from the first leg. Despite the setback, América rallied to tie the aggregate score before moving on to penalties.
