Powerball Winning Ticket At A 7 Eleven In California

Anaheim, California — A single Powerball ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven store in Anaheim has won a staggering jackpot of $243.8 million. California Lottery officials announced the news on March 31, 2025, following the drawing held on March 29.

The winning ticket matched all five numbers, which were 21, 7, 11, 61, and 53, along with the Powerball number 2. This ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 763 North Euclid Street, just minutes away from Disneyland, famously known as the ‘Happiest Place on Earth.’

The jackpot’s lump-sum cash option is set at $243.8 million, an increase from an earlier estimate of $515 million, attributed to final ticket sales that exceeded expectations. As of now, the fortunate winner has not come forward to claim their prize.

Employees at the 7-Eleven expressed their excitement over the sale. “We got the jackpot!” exclaimed a store operator, holding up the winning numbers. “Someone won from here, that’s amazing.” The store will receive a $1 million bonus for selling the winning ticket, which further adds to the ambiance of celebration amongst the staff.

The recent drawing also saw success for several other players; over 928,000 tickets won cash prizes. Five additional tickets matched the five white balls, earning $1 million each. These tickets were sold across various states, including Georgia, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas.

This marks the second occasion in 2025 where someone has won the Powerball jackpot. Earlier, on January 18, an Oregon player claimed a $328.5 million prize.
