Animal Rights Activists Interrupt Victoria Beckham's Fashion Show At Paris Fashion Week

Animal rights activists from PETA disrupted Victoria Beckham‘s fashion show at Paris Fashion Week, sending shockwaves through the event. The 49-year-old former Spice Girls star was showcasing her latest collection on 1 March when the protestors made their move.

The activists boldly took to the runway, holding signs that read ‘viva vegan leather’ and wore shirts stating ‘Animals aren’t fabric. Turn your back on animal skins.’ The European president of PETA emphasized the cruelty of using animal skins in fashion, urging Beckham to explore eco-friendly alternatives like leather made from fruits.

The group revealed they have previously stormed catwalks of other fashion houses in New York, including Coach. Despite the interruption, Victoria Beckham remained composed and closed the show on crutches, receiving applause from the audience.

Her husband, former footballer David Beckham, supported her at the event and shared updates about Victoria’s injury on Instagram after she had a ‘little accident in the gym.’ The collection itself featured reimagined classic silhouettes with a focus on intricate designs and effortless construction.

Beckham’s new line included sharp tailoring, statement outerwear, and delicate dresses. Notable trends from the collection were high-waisted bell-bottom trousers and sheer tights. The influence of 1970s fashion was evident, a style also seen at the recent Chloe show.
