Antarctic Press Marks 40 Years in Comic Publishing for June 2025

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Antarctic Press is set to commemorate its 40th anniversary in the comic book industry with a special edition celebrating four decades of artistry and storytelling in June 2025. Founded in 1985, Antarctic Press has earned its place among notable names in the comic realm, including Marvel and DC Comics.

This milestone will be marked by a compilation that features contributions from notable creators such as Ben Dunn, Fred Perry, and Brian Denham, alongside a historical overview compiled by historian Andrew Garland. The celebratory publication promises a robust collection of art, stories, and potentially some rare photographs.

“If you can’t believe we’ve been around 40 years, we hardly believe it ourselves,” said Ben Dunn, founder of Antarctic Press. “This presentation showcases not only where we’ve been but hints at where we’re going.”

Among the June releases is a new anthology titled “40 Years of Comics History: Art, Stories, Photos, and More!” which will explore the company’s illustrious past as it has evolved with the comic industry landscape. The edition will feature works from both past and present Antarctic Press creators ensuring a wide range of styles and narratives.

While the spotlight will be on the anniversary, other titles will also make their debut, including a new issue of the longstanding anthropomorphic title “Tall Tails,” as well as entries in the Superverse series. Fans can look forward to these releases being available through Diamond Distribution starting June 25, 2025.

“We aim to capture the heart and spirit of our legacy while continuing to pave a path forward with new stories and art that resonate with both our longtime fans and new readers,” Dunn added.
