Archie Manning Receives Prestigious Laurel Crowned Circle Award
LEXINGTON, VA, October 4, 2025 — The Omicron Delta Kappa Society has named Archie Manning the recipient of the 2025 Laurel Crowned Circle Award. This award is the highest honor given by the Society and recognizes outstanding leaders in various fields.
The award was presented on September 25 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford, Mississippi. Manning, a former football star and 1970 initiate of Omicron Delta Kappa, has a long history of accomplishments both on the field and beyond.
According to the Society, Manning’s athletic achievements are significant, but his commitment to scholarship, service, and moral character is equally notable. His leadership qualities and integrity set a high standard, inspiring many others throughout his career.
“Archie Manning exemplifies the ideals of Omicron Delta Kappa,” said Jennifer L. Waller, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of the Society. “He has shown through his actions that leadership and integrity are paramount in creating positive change.”
Past recipients of the Laurel Crowned Circle Award include remarkable figures such as former U.S. Attorney General Richard Thornburgh and Michael Lomax, President of the United Negro College Fund. The Society recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to leadership and service.
