Arctic Blast Brings Snow and Mix to Northern Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — An Arctic blast swept through Northern Oklahoma early Sunday morning, bringing snow and a mix of precipitation to the region. Meteorologist Joseph Neubauer of the National Weather Service warned residents of hazardous travel conditions and urged caution as temperatures plummeted.
The cold front, which moved in overnight, has already dropped temperatures to near-record lows, with some areas experiencing wind chills below zero. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches were reported across parts of Northern Oklahoma, with a mix of sleet and freezing rain complicating road conditions.
