Atlanta United Partners with MARTA for Enhanced Matchday Experience

Atlanta United announced a new multi-year partnership with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), solidifying their commitment to elevating the matchday experience for fans. As part of the collaboration, fans attending the June 2 match against Charlotte FC can purchase a special MARTA Ticket Pack that includes a co-branded t-shirt and a collectible Atlanta United Breeze Card loaded with a roundtrip fare.

Garth Lagerwey, President and CEO of Atlanta United, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing how MARTA has been an essential part of the supporters’ matchday routines for years. The collaboration aims to enhance the overall fan experience and prepare for upcoming major international soccer competitions that Atlanta will host in the future.

The partnership highlights various initiatives, including the launch of a co-branded apparel collection, social media promotions, in-stadium branding, digital marketing, and radio advertising. With Mercedes-Benz Stadium located near GWCC/CNN and Vine City rail stations, an average of 17,000 fans utilized MARTA to travel to Atlanta United home matches in 2023.

Collie Greenwood, the General Manager and CEO of MARTA, emphasized the significance of the partnership in deepening engagement with customers and supporting Atlanta’s reputation as a prominent soccer city. The partnership is set to boost MARTA’s connection with the local community and enhance the game-day experience for Atlanta United fans.

Additionally, all clubs from MLS and Liga MX will participate in a revamped Leagues Cup taking place from July 26 to August 25, 2024, offering an exciting month-long tournament for soccer fans to enjoy.
