Australian Singer Jp Saxe Performs Solo Acoustic Sets In Melbourne After Band Fails To Make It To Australia

Australian singer-songwriter JP Saxe disappointingly announced that his headlining concerts at Melbourne‘s Sidney Myer Music Bowl will be solo acoustic performances. This unforeseen change came as his band encountered travel issues and was unable to reach Australia from Nashville in time.

Saxe, who gained international recognition with his hit single ‘Stick Season‘, broke the news to his fans on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. He apologized for the vibe change and assured his audience that he would deliver the best show possible in his solo performances.

The Melbourne concert tonight, as well as tomorrow’s show, were already sold out. These initial shows mark the beginning of Saxe’s We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour. The tour will later take him to Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth, with all four dates already sold out. Country artist Dylan Gossett will support all the shows as a special guest.

JP Saxe’s popularity in Australia dates back to 2018 when his collaboration with Julia Michaels, ‘Hurt Somebody,’ became the most played song on Australian radio that year. In 2023, his album ‘Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever)’ soared to #13 on the ARIA album chart, and the single ‘Stick Season’ peaked at #3 on the singles chart.

Excitement builds up as this Friday marks the release of JP Saxe’s highly anticipated music video for his latest single, ‘A Little Bit Yours’.
