Ayodhya Airport Prepares for Inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
The Ayodhya Airport in the holy city of Ayodhya is gearing up for the inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, with 40 charter flights arriving and departing on Sunday. The airport director, Vinod Kumar, has announced that the airport will handle over 100 arrivals and departures on January 21 and 22. These flights will primarily consist of special charters, VVIP movements, and scheduled flights.
Ayodhya Airport received 40 flights on Sunday, which dropped off their passengers and were then parked at nearby airports such as Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Varanasi, and others. These flights will return on January 22 to pick up the passengers. To accommodate overseas visitors, a temporary immigration and customs facility has been set up at Ayodhya Airport.
The Lucknow Airport is also expecting a significant number of charter flights, with 24 flights scheduled between January 21 and 23. Eight aircraft will be parked at Lucknow for overnight stays on January 21-22. In preparation for the influx of pilgrims, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has increased its presence at Ayodhya Airport and other affected airports.
In addition to those flying directly to Ayodhya, numerous dignitaries from various fields, including sports, politics, business, and Bollywood, are flying to nearby airports and then traveling by road to the city. Ayodhya Airport has a total of eight parking bays for aircraft, with four reserved for VVIP flights and the remaining for scheduled flights. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in the city on January 22 to take part in the temple inauguration.
Hotels in Ayodhya and nearby places like Lucknow are fully booked in anticipation of the grand event. The city is abuzz with excitement as it prepares to witness the historic inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
