The milestone was reached during Bangladesh’s match against India at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.

Shakib now stands atop the list of prolific wicket-takers in T20 World Cups with this noteworthy achievement. His 50th wicket came in the fourth over of India’s innings as he dismissed Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most successful bowlers in T20 World Cup history.
