LOS ANGELES, CA — Players of Battlefield 6 are voicing their skepticism toward recent changes made to the game’s Conquest multiplayer mode. EA and Battlefield Studios announced adjustments aimed at speeding up match pacing, but many gamers are unconvinced that decreasing ticket sizes will help.

The announcement came via Battlefield Comms on X/Twitter. Developers explained that ticket sizes, which indicate how many times teams can respawn, have been reduced from 1000 to a specific goal for each map. Values now range from 900 tickets on maps like Siege of Cairo to 700 on others such as Mirak Valley.

“Previously, many rounds were hitting the time limit instead of ending when one team ran out of tickets,” the statement noted. “We’ll keep monitoring feedback and data to make sure the flow of each match feels right.”

Despite developers’ intent, many players prefer the thrill of 1000-ticket matches and feel the time limit itself disrupts gameplay. “The easier solution would just be to remove the time limits,” one content creator commented, adding that such constraints spoil the excitement of potential comebacks.

Fans have been quick to express their views on social media, with some hoping for an increase in timer duration rather than ticket reduction. “Couldn’t just add 10 minutes to the timer?” one user urged.

In addition to ticket size changes, BF Studios has increased the Out of Bounds timer for vehicles on the Manhattan Bridge map from five to ten seconds, a change that players seem to welcome. However, opinions on the new ticket sizes remain divided.

Players entering a Conquest match can now expect an average duration of 20 minutes, though duration can vary from 15 to 30 minutes. The latest changes have already been implemented, and it’s uncertain whether the developers will reverse these adjustments.

Battlefield 6 was released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 10. Following its launch, the BF Studios team continues to issue updates and hotfixes as they respond to player feedback.
