Ben Folds Concert Capitol Theatre June 2024

Rome, N.Y. — Ben Folds is set to perform at the Capitol Theatre on June 18, 2024, as part of his “Ben Folds & A Piano Tour.” The concert, which features special guest Lindsey Kraft, will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 14, at 10 a.m. and start at $50, with a portion of proceeds going to Folds’ charity, Keys For Kids.

This concert marks one of only two New York stops on the tour, with the second performance scheduled for June 20 in another city. Folds, 58, first gained fame as the frontman for the alternative rock band Ben Folds Five, known for hits like “Brick” and “Army.”

“I’m excited to bring my music back to this region and connect with fans,” Folds said in a recent statement. He has built an extensive career, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with notable musicians such as “Weird Al” Yankovic and Regina Spektor.

Folds is recognized not only for his original songs but also for a unique blend of pop and rock that characterized his early work. He served as a judge onNBC’s “The Sing-Off” from 2009 to 2013, which further elevated his profile in the music industry.

The Ben Folds concert is expected to attract fans of various ages, as his music spans decades. His 1995 album with Ben Folds Five is considered a staple in the genre. Folds has also made a name for himself in the industry by directly engaging with fans through social media platforms.

Folds’ tour is described as a mix of dynamic solo performances with a focus on his piano-driven style. His last performance at Syracuse University featured a passionate rendition of the song “Landed,” highlighting his vibrant stage presence.

As excitement builds for the upcoming concert, Folds’ versatility and history in the industry promise a memorable night for attendees. His unique sound continues to resonate with both long-time fans and new listeners alike.
