Betty White Among Icons Featured in 2025 USPS Stamps
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has unveiled its 2025 stamp collection, which includes a tribute to the late American actress and comedian Betty White. The stamp featuring Betty White is part of a series that honors various American icons and cultural themes. Designed by Greg Breeding, an art director for USPS, the stamp is based on a 2010 photograph of White taken by Kwaku Alston. The digital illustration was created by Dale Stephanos[1].
Betty White, known for her roles in “The Golden Girls” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” had a career spanning over seven decades. She was not only a beloved figure in American television but also a compassionate advocate for animals. Her legacy continues to inspire younger generations who discovered her work in her later years[1].
The 2025 USPS stamp collection also includes other notable figures and themes, such as the Lunar New Year series featuring a Year of the Snake stamp, a Black Heritage stamp honoring Allen Toussaint, and a Love stamp celebrating the universal experience of love with a work by artist Keith Haring. Additionally, the collection features stamps depicting American Vistas, the Appalachian Trail, baby wild animals, and winter landscapes.
These stamps are set to be available for purchase in 2025 and will be part of various philatelic products offered by the USPS. The announcement highlights the USPS’s ongoing effort to celebrate American culture and history through its stamp series[1]).
