Bigg Boss 18: The Contestants Unveiled

The highly anticipated 18th season of India’s popular reality television show, Bigg Boss, premiered on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The grand event, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, introduced a new set of contestants who will compete in the show for around three months.

Among the notable contestants this season is Shilpa Shirodkar, a celebrated actress from the 1990s who has worked alongside major Bollywood actors such as Shah Rukh Khan and Govinda. Shirodkar, who is also the sister-in-law of South cinema star Mahesh Babu, made a television comeback with the series ‘Ek Mutthi Aasmaan’ in 2013.

Shehzada Dhami, known for his performances in shows like ‘Yeh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka!’ and ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’, adds his name to this season’s list. Despite controversies regarding his professionalism, Dhami continues to be a strong presence in the industry.

Also competing is Nyra Banerjee, a versatile actress across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. Banerjee has also participated in the adventure reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’.

Chum Darang, hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, is remembered for her role in ‘Badhaai Do’. The actress has been part of celebrated screen projects alongside established names like Alia Bhatt.

Arfeen Khan, a life coach known for his association with Bollywood celebrities, also enters the Bigg Boss house. Khan has been associated with high-profile clients such as Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. His wife, Sara Arfeen Khan, an actress and television personality, joins him in this endeavor.

A notable political entry is by Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, a spokesperson for the BJP’s Delhi unit and a prominent figure on social media. His participation in the show has attracted significant attention.

In the realm of social media, Hema Sharma, dubbed ‘viral bhabhi’ for her popular dance videos, is part of the contestant lineup. She has appeared in films such as ‘Dabangg 3’ and gained notoriety for claims against Salman Khan’s security team.

The diversity of the contestants reflects Bigg Boss 18‘s promise of delivering engaging entertainment and drama. As the season unfolds, viewers can expect a mix of emotions and challenges for the housemates.
