Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs Lead Remake of ‘The Crow’
Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs take center stage in the upcoming remake of ‘The Crow‘, directed by Rupert Sanders.
The film, based on the graphic novel by James O’Barr, follows the story of Eric Draven, played by Skarsgård, who seeks vengeance after being resurrected following his murder and that of his fiancée, Shelly, portrayed by FKA Twigs.
Sanders, known for his work on ‘Snow White and the Huntsman‘ and ‘Ghost in the Shell’, describes the movie as a dark romance that explores themes of loss and the supernatural.
The original ‘The Crow’ from 1994 starred Brandon Lee, whose tragic death during filming has left a lasting impact on the franchise.
Sanders pays tribute to Lee, stating that his soul is reflected in the new film, which captures the fragility and beauty of the original Crow character.
Skarsgård’s transformation into the brooding Crow is inspired by a mix of ’90s aesthetics and modern influences like Post Malone and Lil Peep, creating a hauntingly beautiful look.
