Billionaire Offers $200,000 Reward After Break-in at LMCT+ Office
Billionaire Adrian Portelli, famously known as ‘Mr Lambo‘, is offering a substantial $200,000 reward for anyone who can identify a group of failed thieves who broke into his office. The incident occurred at the LMCT+ premises located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne on Wednesday night. Portelli took to social media to share CCTV footage of the offenders, who used sledgehammers to smash their way into the office, but left empty-handed.
As the founder of LMCT+, a savings subscription company, and a prominent figure in the online giveaways and property bidding space, Portelli wants to ensure that the culprits are caught. Expressing his frustration, he mentioned that this act was particularly disrespectful given that he had just become a father.
Initially, Portelli offered a reward of $100,000 for information leading to the identification and conviction of the thieves. However, he later doubled the reward to a staggering $200,000. In a video message to his 292,000 Instagram followers, Portelli urged anyone with information to come forward, promising anonymity. He emphasized his desire to put an end to the situation once and for all.
The CCTV footage revealed that at least four individuals, one of them armed with a sledgehammer, roamed the office premises in search of valuables. The group was captured fleeing the scene in a dark-colored four-door ute. Portelli clarified that he did not keep any cash, keys, or other valuable items at his office. He humorously remarked that if the thieves wanted a Coco Republic couch, they were welcome to break in and steal it, but there was nothing of value there.
While no items were stolen, the aftermath of the break-in showed damaged computers and overturned furniture. Portelli, in good spirits, saw the silver lining in the situation, remarking that the break-in provided him with new content. He took the opportunity to engage with his followers, offering the reward money as an incentive for them to assist in solving the case.
Portelli framed the investigation as a game called ‘convict the criminal,’ inviting his followers to participate and provide any information that could lead to a conviction. He assured that the reward of $200,000 would be instantly transferred to anyone providing credible information. By involving his followers, Portelli aimed to enlist their support in bringing the culprits to justice.
